1b. install PyLucid standalone package

Note: We prefere to create a virtualenv, if you have a shell account.

↑ prepare  #

  1. Download the latest PyLucid_standalone_*.* (.7z or .zip) file from:
  2. extract the archive (e.g. with 7-Zip)
  3. customize theses files for your needs:
  4. upload all via FTP to your web server (e.g. with FileZilla)

If you have a shell account, delete install_pylucid.cgi and follow the install instructions here:

If you don't have a shell account, use the install_pylucid.cgi script, see below:

I you have no shell account, use the web install script install_pylucid.cgi

How it looks like, can you see on some screenshots.

Request the install pages, with this url:

http://www.my_server.tld/install_pylucid.cgi

run at least:

If you only see the sourcecode of the CGI file, read: the troubleshooting page

IMPORTANT:

You must delete install_pylucid.cgi if you not need it! (Otherwise other users can create his own accounts!)

    @BR: Fixed: Thanks for reporting... The Problem was, that the html() macro was used from obsolete .pyc file ;)
